When I sat down with In Search of Color Everywhere, thinking about where I'd start, I flipped the book open, it landed on this June Jordan poem. I couldn't imagine a better way to start.
The paper is painted with a color called "Black Magic" which is also a color I've used as an accent in my new artist studio. It's another beginning -- starting point -- and reclamation of self.
